Heavens opens, clouds roar and the people and vegetation go into a trance. Nature is in the mood to rejuvenate and reproduce. Cupid plays mischief with many.

Yes, Ayurveda, India’s own medicinal system, has rightly pointed out this as the time to go in for medication, mending and repairing mind and soul.

In commune with Nature (November-January)

If you are after Nature and her exquisite beauty there is no time like mild winter when Kerala bears a temperate climate and wildlife too are seen more often. This also the time to go for adventure sports—both terrestrial and aqua sports. A wan sun and evening breeze make coastal stay comfortable.

Tour and travel become more pleasant. It is also time to take a round of historical and religious places. This time too certain health aspects could be tackled. The ethnic Ayruveda system recommends rainy season first and winter second for curing bodily ills.

Aqua sports lovers (February-May)

This is summer, and April-May is peak of summer. The season is best suited for aqua sports. Kerala is dotted with spots which are anglers’ paradise. There are umpteen opportunities to go in for kayaking or canoeing. Canoeing in the moonlit night across backwater channels could be an eerie experience.
